Texas IP Law Journal 19th Annual Symposium

TIPLJ is hosting its 19th Annual Symposium on Friday, February 21st, 2019, at the University of Texas School of Law. The focus of this year’s event will include a discussion on gender, and intellectual property. The event will run from around 8:30 am to the late afternoon. It will consist of a variety of panels with a diverse group of speakers. We are very excited to share that Judge Kara Stoll of the Federal Circuit, Judge Kimberly Priest-Johnson of the Eastern District of Texas, and Judge Lee Yeakel of the Western District of Texas have committed to speak. Texas Regional USPTO Director Shimabuku will present on the recent study by the PTO on female inventors. Additionally, Prof. Dan Burk of the University of California Irvine, Prof. Orly Lobel of the University of San Diego, and Prof. Lisa D. Cook of Michigan State University will speak at the symposium.
This course has been approved for Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit by the State Bar of Texas Committee on MCLE in the amount of 5.00 credit hours, of which 1.00 hours are ethics.
