The Trade Secrets Committee actively monitors federal and state statutes and judicial decisions relating to trade secret protection, misappropriation of trade secrets, and breach of or tortious interference with confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, advises the membership of important developments related to trade secret law, and engages in other initiatives related to trade secret law.

On Friday, May 19, 2017, Governor Greg Abbott signed HB1995, which amends the Texas Uniform Trade Secrets Act.
