“Nothing seems impossible in Spring . . . .”
As we head into Spring, the IP Section is forging ahead on several fronts.
The IP Section hosted an outstanding line-up of speakers at the Advanced IP CLE in Houston. From start to finish beginning with the Women in IP Law breakfast program to the rich content from our various speakers, the IP Section again presented an excellent two-day seminar for our members. I want to extend special thanks to all those who helped put these programs together, including Carlyn Burton, Nik Sallie, Rachel Greene and Vice-Chair Thomas Kelton.
With the help of Roshan Mansinghani and Rachel Green, the IP Section now has a Linkedin page for our section. For our members, here is the link to our IP Section LinkedIn group, please join if you haven't already:
Our Website Officer Julie Bell teamed up with Roshan Mansinghani to form an ad hoc website committee to revamp and improve the IP Section’s website to provide a platform for better communications with our members. They have taken the initiative and have proposed an outside website designer, which the IP Section Council unanimously approved. We hope to have the website up and running by the Annual Meeting.
The IP Section will hold its Annual Meeting on June 22-23, 2023 in Austin, Texas. Chair-Elect Devika Kornbacher is putting together a terrific line-up of speakers for the Annual Meeting CLE that no one will want to miss. At the Annual Meeting luncheon, we will be announcing the Inventor of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, the Fritz Lanham Trademark Award, and other important awards and scholarship recipients. We hope you will make plans to attend.
On behalf of the IP Section, I want to thank everyone for all the work they do for the Section and for realizing the possibilities of Spring.
