The Intellectual Property Law Section of the State Bar of Texas is a resource for IP lawyers and aspiring IP lawyers across the State of Texas who are looking to grow professionally. We pursue this mission through three pillars:
Educate
We educate IP lawyers and aspiring IP lawyers across the State of Texas on emerging trends in intellectual property and related fields and provide practical guidance for addressing real-world legal challenges. We do this through concise, convenient CLE programs, engaging law school outreach, and by providing opportunities for publications and speaking engagements.
Serve
We serve the members of our Section, prospective members, the legal community, our local communities, and business owners by providing IP legal resources, mentoring, and recognition. In doing so, we also serve the State Bar of Texas itself—contributing to its mission, elevating its profile, and demonstrating the value of an active and engaged Section membership.
Connect
We aim to build bigger, better, and more meaningful relationships and a professional network across the State of Texas that our members can leverage to grow professionally. This includes fostering cross-section collaboration and partnerships with other Bar sections, local bar associations, and IP organizations to broaden our collective reach and impact.
